Concrete Restoration

Concrete Restoration? But concrete lasts forever. Not true. Concrete is subject to deterioration. Two of the many causes of concrete deterioration are:

Materials and Workmanship:
Concrete may experience deterioration caused by materials used in the mix or by errors that occured in mixing, forming, or placing.

Environmental Factors:
Concrete is subject to deterioration caused by absorption of moisture and thermal expansion and contraction. Extreme temperature ranges can cause freeze-thaw cycles. Moisture absorbed by the concrete expands and contracts with temperature changes and the resulting mechanical action causes fractures and spalling. Airborne components, such as carbon dioxide, can cause adverse chemical reactions which can cause surface deterioration and ultimately expose the reinforcing bar to the oxidation processes.

Without proper concrete restoration, fractured or deteriorating concrete can compromise structural integrity, pose serious liability issues, and create other significant problems. The experienced technicians at CRX, Inc. carefully initiate a system of repair, removal, and replacement of deteriorated (spalled) concrete, which rehabilitates the structure and maintains its structural integrity. Our proven concrete restoration solutions include the following:

  • Removal, repair, and replacement of concrete building elements
  • Concrete crack control and repair including epoxy injection
  • Chemical and corrosion control
  • Protective high-traffic concrete flooring systems
